Our purpose
We founded Strategy.Inc for a reason. While there is no shortage of strategy consultancy companies and training programs, we see a big gap between what is offered and what is needed to make strategy really work in practice.
Rather than a traditional approach for the few large corporates on this planet, we therefore offer a nontraditional human-centered approach for the many mid-sized organizations out there. Our purpose in all of this is:

Our principles
We're a nontraditional organization following a nontraditional approach. We need to, because the traditional approach that we've known for so many decades doesn't work. Decades of extremely high failure rates in strategy are the clearest indicator of this.

Traditional strategy is heavy on analysis and planning and light on strategy and implementation. This results in over-analysis and over-reliance on everchanging forecasts and plans.
To turn the tides, we focus on actual strategy and implementation activities and reduce on analysis and planning. We emphasize creative and integrative strategy design, as well as individual and team-based implementation coaching to develop high-performing teams, continuous alignment, and leadership accountability.
02We provide developmental consulting and educate our clients on strategy

03We bring together both the explicit and the implicit parts of strategy
The traditional expert consultant focuses on strategy content, while the process consultant focuses on process. While both are important, they are not enough for effective strategy development and implementation. The content and process-side of strategy is what meets the eye.
Below the surface, there is an entire implicit layer that is too often ignored. Through our developmental consulting and coaching we directly address people's mindsets and behaviors, thereby empowering your organization to achieve real and lasting change.
04We adopt a participative approach engaging entire organizations
Traditional strategy is made by the top and then communicated to the rest of the organization. Decades of research shows that a participative approach is far more effective.
It leads to: better strategy because more perspectives are integrated, smoother execution because people co-own the strategy from day 1, team alignment through continuous open dialogue, and competence development through learning-by-doing. In the light of these evident advantages, we wholeheartedly adopt a participative approach—in every culture.
05We pioneer and propel a human-centered approach to strategy
Traditional strategy is analysis, economics, and finance-centered. It relies on the idea of organizations as machines, efficiently turning resources into goods and services to create profits.
Human-centered strategy approaches organizations as social networks, as places where people join and collaborate to make a difference. This means that human skills, human relationships, human values, human needs, and human conditions are center-stage as foundation for our overall philosophy and approach.
